Teaching Committee

The Teaching Committee plays a central role in supporting the Degree Program Board in the organization and development of teaching activities.
It ensures that the program’s educational objectives remain aligned with scientific and technological progress, as well as with the professional needs of the telecommunications sector.

The Committee oversees the quality and effectiveness of teaching, promotes the continuous improvement of courses, and encourages the adoption of innovative teaching methods. It evaluates proposals for new courses, reviews existing ones, and provides guidance to faculty members on educational planning.

In addition, the Teaching Committee carefully examines feedback from students and academic performance data to identify strengths and areas for improvement, contributing to the overall enhancement of the learning experience and to the University’s quality assurance process.

Committee for the Evaluation of Applications from International Students

The Committee for the Evaluation of Applications from International Students is responsible for assessing the eligibility of international applicants who wish to enroll in the Telecommunications Engineering degree programs.

It carefully reviews each application to verify the academic background and qualifications of the candidate, ensuring that their prior education is consistent with the admission requirements and learning objectives of the program.

The Committee also evaluates the documentation provided by applicants, such as academic transcripts, degree certificates, and language proficiency evidence, in accordance with University regulations and national admission standards.

In addition, it collaborates with the Degree Program Board and the University’s International Office to facilitate the admission process and to ensure transparency, fairness, and the recognition of international qualifications.

International Relations Committee

The External Relations Committee is responsible for maintaining contacts with the professional world, public and private service organizations, industrial associations, professional bodies, students, and their families.
In particular, it manages relationships with companies and associations operating in the telecommunications sector, organizing internships and activities related to thesis preparation — as evidenced by the numerous agreements signed.

Furthermore, the Committee maintains established partnerships with foreign universities, mainly located in European Union countries and the United States, and actively seeks to develop new collaborations with international institutions of particular relevance to the telecommunications field.

The Committee also aims to promote student mobility within the Socrates/Erasmus programs and defines the criteria for recognizing exams taken abroad (courses and ECTS credits).

At the beginning of each academic year, the Committee also meets with newly enrolled students to illustrate the courses and programs in detail and to introduce the teaching and support staff.

Self-Assessment Committee and Quality Assurance

The Self-Assessment and Quality Assurance Committee is responsible for monitoring the performance of the Degree Program from a qualitative standpoint, in order to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of teaching activities and support services. It relies on procedures established by the University (e.g., for collecting student satisfaction data through evaluation questionnaires) and by the CRUI (for the self-assessment process). The Committee oversaw the compilation of the form required for the regional Accreditation request, both for the Bachelor’s and the Master’s Degree programs, as well as the preparation of the Self-Assessment Report required by the CRUI CampusOne model for the program’s accreditation.

At the invitation of the Chair, the Head of the Teaching Unit and the Degree Program Secretary also attend the meetings.
